Rani Khanna Director/Producer/Camera - Director of You & Eye Films Ltd

Rani has been making documentaries for the last 13 years after completing a BA Hons degree in Film & Video at the London College of Printing (University of the Arts) and studying Arts Plastiques at the Sorbonne, Paris. Being half French, half Indian, has driven her to explore a variety of subjects with a particular sensitivity.

She has directed films such as a 3 Minute Wonder for C4 LEONA ALONE on sickle cell disease and MUSIC BY...GABRIEL YARED, an intimate 52 mins portrait of Oscar winner film composer Gabriel’s collaboration with Anthony Minghella, made for French TV, released on DVD by Digital Classics, rated 5 stars and chosen as DVD Choice on BBC Music Magazine (Nov 2007).

Rani also tackled difficult Indian subjects in her films, such as: the gay community in Mumbay GAY BOMBAY, in which she was the first to film the Eunichs festival and AMAZONS IN SARIS, a film she made single-handedly about the caste system in Bihar and the atrocities perpetrated against the Dalits (partly funded by Amnesty International & screened at the European Parliament).

At present, she has set up YOU & EYE FILMS LTD to continue producing and directing documentaries and podcasts and to collaborate on co-productions. She is fluent in French, speaks Italian and also teaches video and documentary film production at various colleges and universities in London.

Rebecca Lloyds-Evans - Producer/Director

Rebecca was Head of Development at RISE films, the company behind WE ARE TOGETHER (dir. Paul Taylor), COWBOYS IN INDIA (dir. Simon Chambers) and ROUGH AUNTIES, Kim Longinottos's latest film. She has worked as a producer on high profile projects such as the documentary The Trial Of Saddam Hussein and is currently working on a feature length documentary about privacy and surveillance in the UK for Channel 4. Rebecca has a first in Human Sciences from UCL.










Stephen Folounsho - Director of Photography, Self-Shooter

Stephen Folorunsho is a Single Camera documentary maker and cameraman. He graduated from Middlesex University in Science Technology and Society.

Stephen’s video work is vivid and immediate. He has shot and directed documentaries for a number of high profile charities amongst which Timebank and Comic Relief as well as for the ITV documentary BLEACH MY SKIN WHITE. He recently made a documentary about a Hollywood award winning short film ONE OF US and London Mix for renowned London based arts company Motiroti.

Steve works quickly and is technically proficient: he has that rare ability to capture beautiful images whilst at the same time crafting a social narrative. His aim is to make films of beauty that highlight the realities of contemporary society.

Trupti Patel - Stills Photographer

Trupti is a professional photographer with a talent for capturing elusive moments of life on camera. She observes the story and catches the drama and detail of every situation she photographs. She has a passion for narrative and is sensitive and thoughtful in her approach, watching and waiting for the right moment.

Trupti's background in television documentaries at the BBC provided her with the best industry training available and she worked on a BAFTA award winning series before setting up her photography company kushdigital.com. "By working in documentaries I have learnt to observe people and capture them on camera in a natural and informal way. I believe it's very important that the people I photograph trust me as this helps them to relax and enjoy the experience."

Her current clients include Channel Four, BBC Television, multinationals, small businesses and individuals who use photography in publicity, promotional materials, websites or to capture their personal histories by photographing social functions and portraits.
