Pascale Cuenot

Pascale Cuenot, Prelight Films - Paris & Lyon, France – producer/director

Based in Lyon, France, PRELIGHTFILMS is an independent production company that produces and develops a variety of films, documentaries, TV series, magazines and commercials. Pascale Cuenot began her audiovisual career working in special effects for television. Working as an art director, she designed multiple advertising campaigns for Gaumont, as well as for other TV commercials and special effects (Commercials (Wanda Prod.), TF1, France 2…). In addition to her television experience, her artistic eye and approach has led her to work on projects for magazines such as Marie Claire magazine "Spécial Cézanne", "Spécial Magritte", Elle, Géo…

Pascale Cuenot is currently producing and directing IN THE TRACKS OF a series of documentaries about the greatest composers of film scores.

"While compiling this series of composers’ profiles, we will gain in depth knowledge on this profession, which due to how the film industry has evolved, has become an essential link in the film creation process. These biographies will allow us to discover or rediscover European or international composers such as Gabriel Yared, Maurice Jarre, Georges Delerue, Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfmann, John Williams, etc."

Patricia Costa

Patricia Costa - Amazonia, Rio de Janeiro, San Paolo, Brazil – producer/director

Patricia Costa is a filmmaker based in Belem, Amazonia but covers production work in Rio and Sao Paolo. She studied Film at the University of Warwick (MA in Film Studies), Goldsmith College (Post graduate Diploma in Communications) and at the University of Havana, Cuba. She has worked as a researcher and assistant producer on many documentaries in South America amongst which: The series Kino Train, 8 films on the city of San Paolo for Art City III - Cities & their histories, At the heart of the forest a film project for New York University, USA, and as a casting director on the feature film Kenoma, directed by Eliane Caffe.

Currently, Patricia produces and directs documentaries: Origen dos Nomes a documentary on the making of the feature film about Brazilian tribal naming rituals, broadcast TV Cultura Belem 2005, Olhos d’Agua a documentary on the Olhos d’Agua project in collaboration with the University of Para, Brazil, People from Here, an ethnographic film about Swiss immigrants in the mountains of Friburgo, 2008 (Rio De Janeiro).

Recently, she was invited as an Artist in Residence/Research Fellow at the School of Art & Design, University of Wales, Newport, (2006-07) and in collaboration with them, has co-directed and produced a 90 mins documentary Photographers of Para, focusing on the work of a collective of photographers, in the urban and rural communities of Para, Amazonia.

Shelley Hermon

Shelley Hermon – Tel Aviv, Israel – producer/director/camera operator

Shelley Hermon began working in media in 1997 as an Art-Director in ‘Ogilvy & Mather’, Hong Kong, a large world-renowned advertising agency.

In pursuit of her passion for film she returned to London, where her career in filmmaking kicked-off. She has worked as a freelance Producer/director/Camera-operator ever since, on a range of international productions including short films, promotional videos and documentaries such as the recent Home Fronts in Israel for C4 and The Trial of Saddam Hussein for the BBC.

Raised in Israel and England, her multicultural background infused her with a commitment to film projects specialising in giving voice to minority groups, awareness building and shifting paradigms. She has produced over 20 films with and featuring at risk youth, teenage mothers and conflicted communities. She is currently completing The Unbearable Lightness of Killing a documentary about two dedicated fighters who went from firmly believing the justification of their violent acts, to the becoming combatants for peace. The film explores the influences, which may have dictated those choices and what sets these two men apart, in their ability to step beyond the collective trauma of their respective nations.

Two projects in development include The Jewish Feast a feature length documentary and Bridging The Divide an international TV series with a Canadian production company with multiplatform components.
